Mission & Goals
The mission of the Coalition is to promote the recruitment and retention, promotion and tenure, professional development and greater involvement of black faculty and administrators at Old Dominion University; to advocate issues of black instructional and administrative faculty, including but not limited to their recruitment and their retention; to enhance the status and opportunities of black classified personnel; and to provide networking opportunities and a forum for black issues. Currently, over 100 faculty, administrators and professional staff members are represented by the Coalition.
Foster and promote a healthy, positive campus environment.
Monitor the recruitment and retention of black faculty and administrators.
Strengthen communication with various campus groups with similar goals and objectives.
