Delta Sigma Lambda

Scholarship Information

In 1964, the sorority stated a perpetual annual undergraduate scholarship called the Glenny Burns Scholarship. Mrs. Burns died in November 1964 at the age of 69. At the time of her death, she had completed 17 years of night classes and needed just three credits to graduate. The scholarship has been awarded annually since 1967.

In addition to the Glenny Burns Scholarship, the sorority has established a graduate scholarship named for Delta Sigma Lambda's original sponsor, Dr. Ruth Harrell. Begun in 1981, it has been awarded annually since 1982.

Both Scholarships are awarded by the Alumnae Group.

Applications are available on-line Scholarship Form or in the Women's Center.
