The Old Dominion University chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is a professional organization which strives to enrich the academic and social lives of its undergraduate and graduate students while developing pre-professional skills and contributing to the community.
NSSLHA at ODU presently has more than 50 active members and proudly boasts an average GPA of 3.74 (Spring 2006). Our organization meets monthly, and through the knowledge and experience of its guest speakers, our members are kept abreast of the latest developments, trends and strategies in the areas of speech pathology and audiology.
NSSLHA at ODU is active in the local community as well as our broader service field. Ongoing projects include Operation Smile, the annual Growing Healthy Readers Book Drive and the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. We are also annually involved in ODU's Buddy Walk, Relay for Life, Community Care Day and Make a Difference Day.
