Welcome To The Propeller Club
We are students who have realized there is a vast sea of opportunity in the maritime industry. The Propeller Club is the vehicle to reach our goals. It has allowed us meet industry CEO's and hear them speak about their success, or what not to do. It is the academic cornerstone that we need to develop field trips that as individuals would be difficult to achieve, such as entrance to The Ports of Virginia. Best of all, it is flexible enough to be whatever we want it to be. One thing hasn't changed: it's the launch pad to our careers.
This is a great opportunity for those seeking careers in the area of international commerce to network and make the contacts that count when graduation comes around.
"The purpose of this organization shall be to acquaint its members with matters of interest and importance in maritime matters, domestic and foreign commerce, business administration and economics; to foster group discussions and individual discourses by either active members or experts in these fields; to afford where practical illustrations by visits to container ships, shipyards, marine terminals, etc.; to provide members the opportunity to come in contact with prominent persons in maritime and allied industries, to hear their practical problems and concerns discussed to in turn give a more practical aspect to the theoretical or academic discussions of the classroom; to promote scholarly research in fields of concern to the maritime industry; and to promote good fellowship among its members."
