ODU Propeller Club

About

Resources

We are students who have realized there is a vast sea of opportunity in the maritime industry. The Propeller Club is the vehicle to reach our goals. It has allowed us meet industry executives, gather advice and hear them speak about the ups, downs and ultimately their successes in the industry. The club is an academic cornerstone that we need in order to develop tours and interactions with industry professionals. Best of all, it is flexible enough to be whatever we want it to be. One thing hasn't changed: it's the launch pad to our careers.

This is a great opportunity for those seeking careers in the area of international commerce and the maritime industry in general to network and make the contacts that count when graduation comes around.

The ODU propeller club is a unique and exciting student organization. It is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students who all have a common interest in the maritime industry. The ODU Propeller club offers invaluable opportunities to learn about the maritime industry by hosting guest speakers at club meetings throughout the year. The Club also offers wonderful opportunities to visit maritime operations firsthand by touring various commercial locations throughout the Hampton Roads area. The Propeller club through the assistance of the parent club, Port of Norfolk, puts you in contact with numerous business men and women who are looking to meet the next generation of potential business leaders. The ODU Propeller club is a fun and safe place to make professional relationships and to learn more about yourself and what your interests are.

The Propeller club's main goal is to provide and facilitate an environment where students can enhance their education, meet industry leaders and experience firsthand through tours and lectures exactly what the maritime industry is about.
