Epsilon Chi Chapter was chartered in 1982 at Old Dominion University. Since that time, we have grown to over 3000 members, approximately 550 of which are currently active. The chapter is fortunate to have nurses from all aspects of nursing, including staff nurses, nurse executives and nurses practicing in managed care environments, school nurses, researchers, and educators.

Each year, Epsilon Chi sponsors at least two professional events. In October, the Helen Yura-Petro Lectureship is held. Supported with funding from Dr. Helen Yura-Petro, this lectureship focuses on nursing research. In March, the annual spring symposium offers diverse nursing topics.

A grant of up to $1000 is available each year to support nursing research conducted by our members. Additionally, Epsilon Chi presents annual awards for preeminence in nursing education, research, practice, leadership, and chapter excellence.
