The "Radiant" Rho Nu Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 15, 1987, on the campus of Old Dominion University by Soror Stevalyn Adams. Soror Adams felt that ODU was lacking the qualities of a true sorority.
Soror Stevalyn Adams and Soror Carol Pickett chartered the first members of the Rho Nu Chapter.
